Figaro figaro FIGAROOOOOOOOOO

Outdoor Theater for RainWater from a while ago. The roof tiles are missing because the modular pieces are created by Steven, I think...? This is a screencap from Maya, but Steven is in the process of assembling everything in Unity, so stick around for updates really, really soon!

London Bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down.

Bridge for RainWater from a while ago, but I just realized I didn't post the model up :/ Got it all done a couple of weeks back, but I was too sick to post it up here. These are screencaps from Maya, but Steven is in the process of assembling everything in Unity, so stick around for updates really, really soon!

Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream.

Boat for RainWater from a while ago. Got it done about a month or so back, but I forgot to post it up here. These are screencaps from Maya, but Steven is in the process of assembling everything in Unity, so stick around for updates really, really soon!

I'd ask my friends to come and see an octopus' garden with me

The legendary Octopus Slide to compliment the Whale Slide for Pigeon Food by Damaged Goods.

This is probably my last post related to Pigeon Food, it was fun while it lasted. Special thanks to Emmanuel, Jermz and Steff for the one-of-a-kind experience.

Quick Update

I haven't been updating this space since the monkey, and that was in June, so here's a quick update of what I've been up to:

I had a GREAT summer. Started working on pre-production for my senior projects with fellow teammates Emmanuel, Steff, Jermz and Liz. We're a bunch of lazy cows who dread updating our blog site, but follow Damaged Goods. Inc as we will be posting awesome concepts and production artwork in the near future!

I relocated myself for the third time in the three years, because rent hikes just aren't cool. Living in Bellevue is awesome, especially when you've got awesome roommates.

I also went back home to Singapore to visit family, friends, ex-colleagues, and most importantly, my 8-month-old niece, Tessa. It was my first time meeting her and I was really excited. I could go on and on about her, but I'll let this picture do the talking:

Contrary to popular belief, I am an AWESOME uncle.

It's finally September, and senior year at Digipen has started. I've been really looking forward to this as I'll be working with Team Damaged Goods all school year to achieve world domination. Unfortunately, though, Liz as got herself an internship so she had to drop the class and leave the team. Hopefully she'll be able to find time and continue working with us on the side and help us take our project to even greater heights.

I'll also be working on an environment piece with Liz and Steven for an independent study. Our final product will be imported into Unity, so it's gonna be awesooooome. Check out Rainwater to learn more!

That's it for now, and hopefully I'll have the discipline to start posting more regularly with WIPs and such.

Some bathrooms just aren't meant to be used.

An old render of a bathroom scene done for Maya class last year. Graffiti done by my bud Decker.

Crappy lighting, hopefully it'll look tons better as soon as I get it into a game engine.

I can dance some.

Gate model done for the Digipen game team Dead Pandas' game, Incandescence.
Concepts by the amazing Liz, and I took them and mashed around parts of the different gates until I came up with something cool, and got Chin to texture it.

Gonna work on a huge project with Liz again along with the equally awesome Steven to model a scene, can't wait to get this started! Watch this space for more exciting updates!

PS: If anybody's wondering what happened to the monkey, I kinda stopped working on it to work on pre-production on my senior projects with an all-star team consisting of amazing artists and animators including Jermz, Steff and Emmanuel. Head to Damaged Goods, Inc. for more details!

Last Stand: Redux

So I went back and looked at some of my older stuff and tried to make them look better.
Lame, lame background placeholder, but hopefully it'll look tons better when I get it into a game engine some time this weekend.

Monkey Business - WIP 2

So I decided to finish the hat.

Monkey Business - WIP

So I've started modeling a character yesterday.

Yup.

I'm not the best traditional artist, so I'm just going to use that crappy sketch and go as far as I can. Hopefully my modeling skills can make the final product less dumb looking.

Here's some WIP pics:

Holy shit, it look me AGES to figure out the edge loops for the monkey face. I still don't know why I couldn't comprehend it.

Continued monkeying around with the head today, here's what I've got before lunch:

After a very, VERY boring English class, I tried to finish the face up.

Pretty good self portrait, if you ask me. :D
